Overlooking all of Vancouver and Vancouver Island, this West Vancouver Penthouse had been vacant for twenty years and had to be completely re-built. The unit was re-planned to feature a two-storey vaulted grand staircase which opened the space and provided sophisticated architectural detailing in this contemporary space. The staircase, which is open to the kitchen and great room area, leads to a lavish master suite hideaway lit by a massive skylight.
On the main floor, a completely custom galley kitchen features the finest in built-in appliances and cabinets built in a horizontal grain sandblasted rift cut oak. The kitchen is open to a large entertainment space that flows onto the oversized terrace overlooking the city and water view. Fred designed the interior to include sandblasted oak floors run throughout most of the interior to create the feel of a Santa Barbara waterfront home in soft tones and textures.
