Walled Garden Custom Home

With a nod to Mid-Century Modern architecture this house was designed with a focus on view and sunlight. The floor plan was oriented to have the living area open onto a private walled garden and features two hand-laid masonry walls flanking a pergola covered terrace. The house was elevated to capture views and sunlight into the living room/great room, foyer, kitchen and most bedrooms.

The interior design of the house incorporated the client’s love of mid-century modern furniture and a unique and colourful art collection highlighted by specially selected light fixtures in every room. The kitchen is the most special space in the home incorporating custom cabinetry and quartz counter tops accented by an imported Artistic tile in the backsplash.

The grand staircase floats in the front foyer and features a floor to ceiling wall of glass rather than traditional glass handrails. The staircase leads to the second floor featuring four en-suited bedrooms, all with views. A fully finished lower level includes a large home theatre and guest suite with two bedrooms for visiting relatives.
