David Alan B Design was founded in Winnipeg Manitoba in 1981 providing custom house designs and renovation plans for homeowners. In 1985 we opened a retail location with a great emphasis on renovation design and in 1992 expanded to another retail location with an emphasis on Interior Design, furniture and art. In 1995 the company expanded into commercial design including corporate accommodation planning, space planning, retail design and real estate consultation.
After 20 years with the Winnipeg office, the company expanded to Vancouver and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, taking on larger scale custom homes and renovations.
As a small office our focus has been finding unique projects where we can help clients overcome challenges, whether that be the renovation of an existing house, new house builds, or interior design. The company still maintains a very small office approach with hands-on service by the two principal owners. As we say, we are “addicted to design” and are happy to create unique spaces, no matter the size.
Dave Boulanger, B.I.D.
Dave has over 35 years of experience in both commercial and residential design with a wide-ranging portfolio of custom built houses, large scale renovation projects, corporate accommodation planning and project management. His history of providing unique and wonderful results for each client has resulted in a very large portfolio of work with each project offering a distinct and unique style.
Dave loves the challenges presented by home renovation and has specialized in this industry for his entire career, giving him a reputation for creative use of space, focus on functionality, timeless design and individuality for each client.
Fred Lade
Fred has over 17 years of experience in Interior Design and Project Management in Canada, Germany and Mexico. Fred’s inspiring interiors are always unique with each project resulting in spaces that reflects the client’s taste and the way they want to live. His extensive supply contacts and ability to find unique items always provides clients with one of a kind interiors.
Hands-on management of each project has resulted in every project being completed within a predictable schedule and satisfied clients. Combined with detailed management and attention to detail, Fred’s design style, extensive connections in the industry and creative use of colour and texture, provides clients with interiors that reflect high style, comfort, durability and value.
